Club Monaco In-Store Music for December

Post image for Club Monaco In-Store Music for December

by Chris Foley on December 24, 2009

Some friends and colleagues who know that I work with Denzyl Feigelson and Club Monaco to provide their monthly in-store music programming have been asking me where they can find a list of music, and also where the songs can be purchased.  I’ve decided to post the playlist at the end of each month.
Click on a song title to view in iTunes; though some of the songs will be visible in the iTunes store, you may not be able to purchase them due to being unavailable in the U.S.
In fact, here’s what Club Monaco has to say about it on their Tunes Page:

FAVORITE TUNES
Club Monaco!

Each month, we get scores of questions about our Club Monaco store soundtracks. Who sings that song with the addictive rhythm? What band performs the cover of that amazing song? When are the new tracks coming out? Where can I buy these songs? Why don’t you spread the news?
Who, what, when, where, why!

You asked, and now you can listen.
Simply head to iTunes to purchase. Enjoy…

Enjoy Indeed!
~ Cheers
Chris

Can you please post the January playlist? There was this song that captured my attention, but the salesperson did not know who or what the song was called.

Hi Camille,

I’m afraid Club Monaco doesn’t order music in January. To cut down costs after the holidays, they simply play their favorite disks from the past year in Jan.

I’ll be posting Feb’s playlist in a couple of days, as most stores should already have received their CDs by now for Feb.

Can you remember any of the lyrics from the song you’re looking for? I have all of the music from last year in my iTunes library, and could easily find it for you.

Thanks!
Chris

oh their site has not updated the playlist from december.
i was in the store this past week and asked what song was playing, the associate told me check the web site.

i came home to find xmas songs on the club monaco website =(

the song that particularly caught my attention had a saxophone solo similar to the work of angelo badalamenti and a heavy baseline
do you know which one im speaking of?
thanks.

Hi Jacqueline,

It depends on a few factors. I’m afraid that CM doesn’t order music for January. To save money after the crazy holiday, they do a “best of the year” sort of thing where they play older CDs until Feb’s music arrives.

Now, February music has been trickling into the store for the past week. Can you remember any lyrics in that song?

PS: I’ll have Feb’s playlist posted on my own site over the next couple of days. I’ve been lazy…

Hi Chris,

Any chance that one of the above songs listed (probably the ones not linked to itunes) would be this one, heard at this website: http://www.bymark.ca/
I know I’ve heard it in the store before during december. If you have it, please forward me your email for further details, as well as your personal website.

Thank you.
