The Big Leap Audiobook | Harper Collins

by Chris Foley on March 20, 2009

I’m currently editing The Big Leap Audiobook, written by Dr. Gay Hendricks, to be published by Harper Collins.  The Big Leap is Gay’s 33rd, and very possibly his final book.  I’ve have the pleasure of reading several of his titles, and this book is by far my personal favorite.

The audio book is 6 hours long, and is beyond good.  I have the manuscript on my desk right now, and I still can’t wait to buy my own copy!

This book will be available on April 21st, and you can pre-order your own by clicking on the book cover above.

Tech Notes:

I recorded this entire book in Gay’s home office with a single AKG C414 microphone, an Apogee Duet interface, and a MacBook Pro running Logic Pro 8.0.2
We recorded this program over 4 sessions, in a casual and relaxed manner, and it went off without a hitch.

I am currently listening to the product that resulted from your work. I found your site because I was looking for a link to send my sister so she could buy teh audio program, I, who have done a lot of “personal growth” stuff over the years, find the book still has something to offer.

I understand they you probably had nothing to do with production decisions but I wanted to communicate to someone that not dividing the program into chapters is very annoying. I purchased through iTunes.

I can certainly see how that would be annoying. No, I’m afraid that I delivered individual chapter audio files to Harper Collins, but what they did with those files after was not in my hands.
